Folsom + Sons is a family company. The name is aimed at the next generation on purpose. We want them to learn the trade, and we want them to learn what the trade is for.
Our faith is plain about this. When you have been given more than you need — skill, work, margin — that surplus is a stewardship. It is not only yours to keep. It is meant to bless the place you build in and the people who live there.
That shows up in ordinary ways. We stay in the Mid-Willamette Valley instead of chasing work we cannot stand behind. We hire and teach. We take community projects that would not get built if the only question were the fee.

Valor Mentoring needed a mentoring room and a substance-free coffee shop at 2421 Lancaster Drive NE in Salem. The building had to keep operating. Folsom + Sons served as general contractor and did not charge a fee. The drawings are by GCB Architects. We built the room the program needed.
Paid work is still the work of the company. The conviction is simply part of who takes the call.
